Birthday Celebration @ Long River Hill

On the 27th Sept 2009, we were invited for a Birthday Party by our good frenz n hosts of the evening Kok Ming & wifey. Somehow his semi-D was located in a place known as "Long River Hill" or better known as Bukit Sg Long.

We arrived early, so I sneaked around the compound looking for a spot to capture some shots since its sunset time.

- a view from the front -

- gushing water at the Koi pond -

- sunset time 7.00pm -

- sunset time 7.05pm -

- sunset time 7.10pm -

- its time to feed these hungry souls. Somehow, most of the dishes turned out to be Chicken n Duck...cooked in different styles...

There were Smoked-Duck, Roast Duck, Rendang Chicken, Butter-Milk Chicken, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Spaghetti, Kao Chi, Konyukku Jelly, ...err...what else? I think I've lost count....hehehe

Presenting the Stars of the evening...our Birthday-Boy "LESLI" and Birthday-Girl "LI YONG". They said they just turned 21 and 18 respectively. If I say AGE is just a number, I think it'll console them...hahaha.

Wow! This birthday boy turned out to be a husband of 1 lovely wife and father of 3 beautiful daughters. And that birthday girl is the wife of a great husband as well as mother to a handsome boy n pretty girl.

Here's our "Iron Chef" or "Chef De Sous"... a very creative chef when he steps into the kitchen.
Posing infront of his "new invention"...the Durian Cheese Cake. The durian is actually a combo of the Musang & XO species....a real 'Out-Of-This-World' creation.

Our semi-pro Kenny the Butcher-Boy, whose Mongolian fore-fathers were descendants of Genghiz Khan, at his trick again. Displaying great skills with knives...slicing up the smoked-duck with ease.

He is not only good with knives, he's got great sense of humour, too. A great entertainer.

So this is how the KadazanDusun celebrate birthday, showing off their Tuak or Tapai drinking skills (Yum Sing)....way to go. Selamat Hari Jadi.

A BIG thank you to our great Host n Hostess of the evening, Kok Ming n Li Yong.
God bless you.

:) :)
